The startup plans to use the funding to expand in the U.S.

Insurance navigator Fair Square Medicare raises $15 million, AI-enabled prostate cancer care startup Avenda Health scores $10 million, and oncology clinical trial startup Trial Library emerges from stealth with $5 million.

Neil Lindsay, senior vice president of Amazon Health Services, said the telehealth service was "not a complete enough offering for the large enterprise customers we have been targeting, and wasn’t going to work long-term."

The startup plans to use the funds to expand nationwide, add virtual primary care services and get its offerings covered by insurers.

Also: Decentralized clinical trial startup Curebase names vice president of clinical operations, and digital opioid use disorder-treatment company Ophelia hires a chief technology officer.

Formerly known as IDx, the company received FDA De Novo clearance in 2018 for its IDx-DR system used to detect diabetic retinopathy.

UnitedHealth Group, CVS and Option Care Health are also in the running, reports say.

The newly public company, now trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "AKLI," will use the proceeds from the transaction to launch EndeavorRx, its video game-like digital therapeutic for children with ADHD.

It will be used to accelerate collaborations with pharmaceutical firms.

It will use its latest funds for its global expansion.
